| The Weimar Archive is a powerful collection of 20th century German history covering some of the most difficult and affecting aspects of Europe's past, including the persecution of Jews and the rise of Nazism, Italian fascism, concentration camps, the Hitler Youth and political events such as the occupation of the Rhineland, Kristallnacht and the Nuremberg rallies of the 1920s and 30s.
The archive also includes reproductions of German paintings promoting the racial doctrine at the core of Hitler's Weltanschauung (world view), specifically Nazi-inspired artworks of Aryan families.
There are a number of striking posters, impressive in design but unsettling in their sinister intent. Aside from Hitler and other key figures from Germany's history, the collection includes a number of Nazi party members instrumental in the rise of the Third Reich, as well as scenes of everyday life in the Jewish suburbs of Berlin in the 1930s before the persecution campaign began.
